Bouquet of various anemones
Blanche Odin
1865 – 1957
Watercolor 10 X 14 cm, mounted in its original frame, a little damaged with the gilding 11 X 15 cm, inscriptions on the back of the paper which has since been hidden by the original box. If Redouté was the greatest watercolorist of flowers of the first half of the 19th century, Blanche Odin is the greatest of the first half of the 20th century. If, of course, it was her roses that so deservedly ensured her reputation, she excelled in the representations of all kinds of flowers as can be seen in the excellent works of Monique Pujo-Monfran or by visiting the Salies de Bagnères de Bigorre museum. Here, the Artist seduces us by offering us this flamboyant bouquet of various anemones, this flower that is beautiful from bud to faded, arranged in a green ceramic vase. Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or phone.
