Girl with a doll 1910
Pastel 140 x 100 cm, frame 162 X 120 cm, signed and dated 1910.
This delightful pastel of very large format slept, like the pair of portraits of Freyberg and a very big painting of Bodarevsky, in a attic of Biarritz since more than 50 years !!! This “Girl with a doll in a big armchair” is due to Enrique Dorda Rodriguez the famous Spanish portraitist born in Leon in Castile and Leon.
He painted the portrait of the Royal Family, the greatest political and arts figures in Madrid in Paris and Biarritz, before continuing his career in Havana and New York.
The catalog of the Maria Conception Gago collection deposited at the Leon Museum will be consulted. A little dedusting by a professional may be necessary.
We have other pastels a little smaller available.
Do not hesitate to ask us by email or phone for additional information or photos.
