The 1001 nights The love song
Maggie Salcedo
1890-1949
Watercolor and gouache, dimensions 13 x 14cm without frame, 29 x 29 cm with frame, signed in the upper left.
The wonderful illustrator of children’s books that was Maggie Salcedo, with such a characteristic line, has adapted here an interpretation of Persian miniatures, certainly for the 1001 nights, work that I have not found but including at least a stencil was printed (we have it).
The dimensions are of course given to the line, the sheet corresponding to the sight of the modern silver frame but well in period.
Sold separately, but can be paired with the other two.
In partnership with Galerie Lafouresse.
