Advertising project
Brusamonti
Painted with gouache on cardboard, it is signed Brusamonti (?), measures 60 X 40 cm, and has small scales in the thickness of the painting
I find this advertising project for shirts showing the silhouette of a man in a tuxedo and hat that only the whiteness of the shirt stands on black is particularly successful. Extremely graphic, the red background first catches the eye on the image where the title is short and effective: the classic recipe of good advertising as established Chéret more than a century ago, and which at through Toulouse-Lautrec, Cassandre or Villemot still works!
