Oil on canvas 81 x 65 cm, mounted in a superb Parnassian frame 106 x 88 cm. The restoration and cleaning have restored all of its qualities to this incredible painting. Signed and dated upper right in a way that can be read either 1951 or 1931, the model’s clothing style prompting me to think of the second possibility, countersigned and titled on the back on the frame. What a painting! It will not leave anyone indifferent with its psychopath-like protagonist, perhaps a self-portrait, preparing to feed his goldfish with a dragonfly… An almost surreal atmosphere between De Chirico and the New German Objectivity Don’t hesitate to contact us request photos or additional information by email or telephone.
