“Young woman with headband” oil on canvas 50 X 61 cm, signed and dated 1919, mounted in a period frame 62 X 72 cm. Eldest sister of Hélène (1883-1937), they were both eminent representatives of Art-Nouveau. The cleaning revealed the delicacy of the colors and made the upholstery at the bottom more visible. This charming portrait of a young woman in a tunic, with a short haircut held by a headband, is characteristic of the fashion of this period.
