Terracotta Sculpture : “putti Candle Holder Project”

This incredible terracotta candlestick project dates from the first years of the 20th century, at the crossroads of the Symbolist vein and the obvious influence of Rodin. On relatively small dimensions, the sculpture is teeming with characters: a nymph and five putti climbing trees or simply seated, treated in outline which, by its mastery, shows that it is the work of a large hand, unfortunately anonymous. Small old scratches at the base, very beautiful patina, presence of an old label under the base.
