Achille Fouquier
1817 – 1895?

Ink drawing, dimensions 25 x 35 cm, signed and annotated Rhodes 1855, frame.

Achille tireless traveler Fouquier brought  of these trips many sketches, anecdotes, observations collected in several books that were published. Whether the Basque Country (he was mayor of Saint-Jean-de-Luz), Italy, Greece, the Balkans and the Middle East, its drawings  are the testimony of history of these countries.
